Short Synopsis:
A middle-class family drifts out of sync as each member faces a private crisis at a different stage of life. The parents, Kamil and Klára, try to repair their fading relationship, but never at the same time. When one reaches out, the other retreats. Kamil clings to his diminishing role as provider, while Klára withdraws into spirituality, each searching for meaning in a way the other cannot accept.
Amid this, their adult children, Loretta and Eugen, unexpectedly return home, carrying their own disappointments. Once full of promise, they now struggle with failure and the quiet realization that their lives have not turned out as expected.
The youngest son, Edo, grows up on screen in the shadow of their disillusionment. While his siblings once believed in extraordinary futures, he has never believed in one at all.
